The Pearl EXX1455S/C31 Export snare drum in Jet Black is part of Pearl's highly successful Export series. Normally, you'd find this snare as part of a drum kit, but this 14 x 5.5" model is now also available separately. So feel free to use it on its own, or as an addition to any other drum kit. As with all Export drums, this snare drum's shell is made of a combination of poplar and Asian mahogany, allowing for rich resonance and sustain. To finish it off, the whole is wrapped in a sleek Jet Black finish.

Durable Pearl quality

Of course, this snare was also constructed according to Pearl's own Superior Shell Technology process. This means that the wood is thoroughly inspected before it's milled to precise thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams. Those seams ensure the drum is incredibly durable once the different plies are glued together. After it dries, the glue has the same density as the wood, greatly improving the shell's acoustic properties.
